The Boombox Project
The Boombox Project is a deeply evocative interpretation of the history of the Boombox – an iconic device of the 80’s that not only conveyed the anthems of a generation but also serves as a symbol of defiance and rebellion. Initially Lyle started out as a Boombox collector – however as his collection grew, the artist spark went off inside of him. Instinct led, that these should be photographed in high contrast detail(scars and all), and printed up huge. Hence “The Boombox Project” was born - gargantuan beasts of audio rendered large and in a massively reinterpreted scale!
